Project Owner: National Defence College (NDC)
Description:

Swapnoloke Software Company is proud to have developed a secure, purpose-built Plagiarism Management Software for the Armed Forces War Course (AFWC) of the Bangladesh National Defence College (NDC). Designed to meet the academic rigor and ethical expectations of one of the highest professional military education institutions in the country, the system ensures that every submitted document upholds originality and scholarly excellence.

This solution strengthens NDC’s commitment to intellectual honesty by detecting and managing potential cases of plagiarism across dissertations, strategic papers, and research-based assignments submitted by senior military officers.

Features:

PDF-Based Plagiarism Checking

The system checks all submitted PDF documents against a secure internal archive, offering a controlled environment for sensitive and high-level academic content. It supports term-wise and author-specific searches for previously submitted materials to detect duplication or reuse.

Dual Operation Modes

Two robust modes provide flexibility based on institutional workload and urgency:

  • Single Mode: Allows checking one file at a time with faster response, ideal for quick, individual evaluations.
  • Batch Mode: Enables simultaneous checking of multiple documents, suitable for end-of-course evaluations, though with slightly slower processing to manage server load efficiently.

Role-Based User Structure

To maintain command-level oversight and document confidentiality, the software incorporates a hierarchical user access model:

  • Super Administrator: Manages user roles, archive configuration, and system settings
  • Admin & Research Coordinators: Upload files, assign documents to reviewers, and manage reports
  • Directing Staff / Faculty Members: Review similarity reports and academic compliance
  • AFWC Participants: Upload final submissions for checking

Similarity Report & Audit

The software generates a clear similarity percentage, highlights matched text segments, and allows reviewers to download reports in PDF format. Logs are maintained for every action, including uploads, review, and approvals.

Term-Based Archiving

Each uploaded document is automatically categorized by term, course, and author, making it easier for institutions to maintain a searchable archive and support future validation or audit processes.

Strategic Benefits

For a flagship program like the Armed Forces War Course, where strategic thinking, originality, and thought leadership are essential, Swapnoloke’s Plagiarism Management Software provides:

  • Secure and private evaluation infrastructure
  • Transparency in high-stakes academic assessments
  • Time-saving automation for faculty and admin
  • Long-term digital archiving of research outputs
  • Assurance of institutional compliance with academic standards

This solution has strengthened NDC’s academic integrity framework while enabling better administrative control over the document review process.
